UN Security Council To Be Convened On July 21 To Discuss Russia’s Moves

Other News Materials 16 July 2008 16:51 (UTC +04:00)

Having considered the Georgian side's appeal, the Security Council adopted a decision to satisfy Georgia's request and set a date for convening a special session on July 21.

The Security Council will gather for a closed-door session, reported PNA.

Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations Irakli Alasania will attend and address the session.

The convening of the UN Security Council's special session in such an emergent manner clearly points to the international community's extreme concern over the Russian side's irresponsible, provocative and totally unacceptable acts.
