( dpa ) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama raised 52 million dollars in donations in June, 30 million dollars more than Republican rival John McCain.
Together with donations already collected, the party currently commands a war chest of 92 million dollars, the Obama campaign reported Thursday.
June was the second-best donation result for Obama after February with 55 million dollars. Altogether the senator from Illinois has already collected a record sum of 337 million dollars in donations since the beginning of his presidential election campaign.
