The ministry received Israeli approval on the candidate, MENA said, adding that Reda has diverse experience in Arab and Israeli affairs.
Reda, who previously served in China, Cyprus, Iraq, Germany and Italy, will replace Mohammed Assem who was due to return to Cairo at the end of his three-year posting in Israel.
