Spanish champions Real Madrid have agreed to sell Julio Baptista to AS Roma, Marca sports newspaper reported on its website Sunday, the dpa reported.
Marca claimed Roma had agreed to pay nine million euros (13.51 million dollars) for the powerful Brazilian midfielder - and that the deal would be finalized on Monday.
Brazilian international Baptista joined Real from Sevilla in 2005 but failed to convince at the Estadio Bernabeu and was loaned out to Arsenal in the 2006/2007 season.
He returned to Madrid a year ago but again failed to hold down a regular place.
