Georgian Footballer Refuses to Play in Sports Jersey with Gazprom Inscription

Georgia, Tbilisi, 13 August / corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia / Levan Kobiashvili, a Georgian footballer of Shalke 04 German club ( Gelsenkirchen), refused to play at the first match of the Champion League for his club protesting against the Russian aggression, directed to Georgia.

"I cannot play in the sport jersey, on which 'Gazrpom' word is written," he said to the Georgian Sarieli sport newspaper.

The Russian Gazprom is a sponsor of the German football club.

According to Kobiashvili, everybody must support Georgia during the Russian aggression days.
