England manager Fabio Capello has recalled Wigan striker Emile Heskey in a 23-man squad for Wednesday's friendly international against the Czech Republic at Wembley, dpa reported.

Heskey was selected in Capello's first squad against Switzerland in February but had to pull out because of injury.

Hart retains his place in the squad and will be looking to win his second cap, having made his debut as a substitute in the last match, away to Trinidad and Tobago.

Peter Crouch, who left Liverpool for Portsmouth in the summer, was not included in the squad.

The match with the Czech Republic is a warm-up for England's first two qualifying matches in the 2010 World Cup campaign.

Capello's side play Andorra away on September 6, and then play Croatia in Zagreb on September 10.
