A government spokesman says Congo has sealed its border with Uganda to cut a rebel group's supply lines.

Rebel leader Laurent Nkunda signed a peace deal with the Congolese government in January, but fighting soon resumed.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Claude Mutond said Saturday that Nkunda's men are getting supplies from Uganda. He says the government decided to seal the border at the frontier town of Bunagana to cut off Nkunda's rebels.

Nkunda's men are accused of razing villages, enlisting child soldiers and engaging in systematic rape, AP reported.
