Bush to meet with Sarkozy over economic crisis
US President George W Bush will meet with French President Nicolas Sarkozy at Camp David Saturday to discuss the global economic crisis, dpa reported.
The president of the EU Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, will also attend the talks and dinner at the presidential retreat outside Washington, Benjamin Chang, a spokesman for the National Security Council.
"They'll talk about a range of issues, but the global economy will be prominent on their minds," Chang said.
Bush decided to invite the two men to Camp David since they will be in North America attending to EU-Canada summit in Montreal this weekend, Chang said.
Bush has been working with global leaders to create a common response to the crumbling financial markets that have prompted worries of a worldwide recession.
