Colombian police say the son of an extradited warlord has been murdered near Bogota. The
killing follows a Miami judge's sentencing of his father for drug trafficking, the Associated Press reported.
Police say assailants shot and killed 32-year-old Vladimir Vanoy at his condo's gate Sunday before fleeing.
Vanoy's father, Ramiro, was extradited to the United States in May with 13 other far-right warlords.
After Ramiro "Cuco" Vanoy was sentenced to 24 years in prison this month, the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo quoted one of his lawyers as saying the warlord would no longer cooperate with investigations into killings and other crimes associated with his role in far-right militias.
But El Tiempo later quoted a top prosecutor as saying Ramiro Vanoy would indeed cooperate.
