Ukraine, Kiev, Dec. 29/ corr. Trend Z. Novsvitski/ Giving permission to Ukrainian citizens to buy traumatic arms will not worsen the criminogenic situation in the country, Alexander Savchenko, Ukrainian deputy interior minister, said to news conference on Dec. 26.
Devising an appropriate legal act has been practically completed by the Interior Ministry, according to which, the citizens will be allowed to buy traumatic arms, he said. This document is necessary to be coordinated with the Ministry of Justice and some other ministries. So, it can finally come into effect not earlier than end of January.
The Interior Ministry decided to prepare documents to allow all citizens, except drug addicts and alcoholics, to buy no lethal traumatic pistol, Yuri Lutsenko, interior minister, said earlier on air of one of TV channels.
