Solidarity forum for Palestine held in Indonesia
Around 250,000 supporters from Prosperous and Justice Party (PKS) gathered with some religious figures in a solidarity forum in National Monument of Central Jakarta on Sunday morning to condemn Israel's attack to Palestine, reported Xinhua .
Among leaders attended the forum were representatives from Hindu, Buddhism, Christian and Konghucu, Kompas.com reported Sunday. "We urge for an immediate halt of the military raid. We oppose any kinds of violence because we love peace," said Edi Kuswara from Suara Tionghoa (Tionghoa Voice) during his oration.
During the peaceful action, participants collected fund for the victims by distributing boxes so that public can contribute. After the forum, they are set to march to Hotel Indonesia circle.
