Four people were killed and 16 others injured Sunday in a bus accident in Colombia's northwestern province of Antioquia, the authorities said.
The accident occurred when a bus crashed into a truck on a highway in the southeastern part of the province, causing the death of four people and the injury of 16 others, Xinhua reported.
All of the injured have been taken to local hospitals, including six in serious condition, police said.
Official statistics showed that traffic accidents in Colombia occurred mostly due to carelessness of drivers, who often exceed speed limits, violate traffic rules or drive when they are drunk.
Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, police said.
