Nine killed in Pakistan bus crash

At least nine passengers were killed and another 21 injured in a head-on collision between two buses in southern Pakistan on Wednesday, a media report said.

Most of the victims died of blunt impact injuries when the two vehicles rammed into each other near the town of Rahim Yar Khan, the private Aaj television channel said, dpa reported.

It was suspected the accident was caused by speeding.

Pakistan is among the countries with very high death rates in traffic accidents, which are mainly caused due to poor roads and unsafe driving practices.
