Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and visiting Qatari Emir Hamad Ben Khalifa al-Thani stressed on Tuesday the importance to intensify all efforts in order to realize the Palestinian national reconciliation, Xinhua reported referring to the official SANA news agency.
The two leaders also underlined determination to continue exerting every possible effort to achieve Arab solidarity and consolidate it in order to protect the Arab peoples' interests and rights.
They also discussed steps to be taken before the upcoming Arab Summit due in Doha in March, as well as bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region, particularly on the occupied Palestinians territories, the report said.
