A roadside bomb blasted in Afghan Northern Province of Kunduz Friday evening, damaging a police vehicle, provincial police chief said Saturday.
"The incident took place in Sehdara district, but fortunately no police were killed or wounded in the explosion," Abdul Rahman Haqtash told Xinhua.
He also denied Taliban's claim that six policemen were killed in the incident.
Moreover, the director of public health of Kunduz Homayon Khamosh told Xinhua that they received one civilian who was wounded in the incident.
The relatively peaceful Kunduz province has seen the escalation of riots in the past one week as five German soldiers with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were wounded Wednesday in a suicide car bombing and another German soldier was killed in Taliban's attack on the past Thursday.
