Today the Council of Georgia-NATO meets in Brussels. The meeting will be held on the level of chiefs of joint staffs of NATO countries and Georgia, Georgian Ambassador to NATO Revaz Beshidze said. However, chief of the Georgian Armed Forces joint staff Devi Chankotadze returned to Tbilisi due to rebellion in one of the tank battalions in Mukhrovani. Chankotadze planned to partake at the meeting in Brussels.
Beshidze said that David Nairashvili would represent Georgia at the meeting. The participation of Georgian military contingent in operations in Afghanistan and transference of Georgian army to NATO standards will be the subject of discussions in Brussels.
