An Afghan presidential candidate on Wednesday doubted the fairness of the coming presidential election, Xinhua reported.
"There are signs that question the transparency of coming presidential elections,"Abdul Jabbar Sabit, a critic of President Hamid Karzai's administration, told reporters here Wednesday.
He added that the national television fully covered and broadcast the registering process of president Karzai for seeking reelection while ignoring the others.
He also added that some provincial governors have already begun campaign in favor of incumbent president to facilitate him sweep up the coming polls scheduled for August 20 this year.
Since the registration process starting from April 25, 10 politicians have offered their candidacy, including serving president Karzai and his main opponent former Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah. The process will be concluded on May 8.
