The wreckage, including aircraft seats, has been found in the Atlantic Ocean, 650 km north-east coast of Brazil - in the area of the alleged fall of A330-200 of Air France, Reuters reported referring to the Brazilian Air Force, RIA Novosti writes.
Flight Air France AF447, on which board there were 228 people, flew from the International Tom Zhobima Airport of Rio de Janeiro at 02.00 Moscow time on May 31 and had to land at the Paris Airport Charles de Gaulle about 13.00 Moscow time on June 1, but the connection with the plane was lost after four hours after the flight, RIA Novosti reported.
The search region is located in 1,100 kilometers to the north-east of the coast of Brazil, near the air space of the West African Senegal.
