Swine flu cases reach 219 in Israel

The number of swine flu cases increased 39 people and reach 219 in a day in Israel, Vesti reported. Medical services say the condition of people swine with swine flu cases is satisfactory. Despite increase in swine flu cases, authorities are not ye planning to hand over control over epidemiological situation to army.

In the meantime, A/H1N1 virus began to spread also Palestinian territories. Cases with two students who returned from the United States were confirmed on June 18. Seven new cases of infection with influenza virus were reported in the West Bank, ITAR-TASS reported.

On June 11, experts from the World Health Organization decided to raise the level of combat against A/H1N1 virus to the sixth, the highest level. This means that the experts agreed that the spread of the virus ahs become a pandemic. This is the first official pandemic over the past 40 years.
