Dozens of people were injured when one Municipal Railway light rail train rear-ended another on Saturday afternoon in San Francisco's West Portal Station, Xinhua reported.
The collision occurred just before 3 p.m. local time, and more than a dozen people were treated on the train by paramedics and then carried off in stretchers, with many others being treated on the platform, the KCBS radio station said in a report.
There was no word yet on what caused the crash, although one witness described the driver on one of the trains as waving his arms just before the crash as if to indicate he had no control of it.
