Roadside bomb kills 3 Afghan soldiers

Three Afghan soldiers were killed as a roadside bomb struck their vehicle in the southern Zabul province Sunday, an official said, Xinhua reported.

"The soldiers were on patrol in Shahjoi district when a mine planted by Taliban militants hit their vehicle killing three aboard,"General Shir Mohammad Zazi, commander of army Corps in the region, told Xinhua.   

Taliban militants fighting Afghan and international troops have intensified their activities as the post-Taliban country moving towards presidential election to be held soon.
