A traffic police car went off in the center of Grozny, the capital of Russia's North Caucasus republic of Chechnya, on Wednesday, Russian news agencies reported.
Several people are believed to have been killed or injured in the explosion that occurred outside a fashion house, Interfax quoted a Chechen police source as saying, Xinhua reported.
The scene has been cordoned off and an investigation is underway, the source said.
