A US military helicopter crashed in the central German state of Hesse, killing all three crew members, a US army spokesman said Thursday, DPA reported.
The Black Hawk UH 60 aircraft came down in woodland near a motorway close to the town of Viernheim Wednesday evening while on its way to the US base in Mannheim.
"There were no survivors," the spokesman said.
It was not known whether the rainy weather at the time of the accident contributed to the crash.
The victims' identities were not released, pending notification of their families.
The crash site was cordoned off and the army said the investigation was continuing.
