Former Prime Minister Viktor Yanukvych won Ukraine's presidential election, according to the results of a final ballot count made public Wednesday, DPA reported.
The pro-Russia politician obtained 48.95 of all ballots cast, while his opponent Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko received 45.57 per cent support in the Sunday poll, according the Ukraine's Central Election Commission.
Tymoshenko in post-election comments said she would challenge the result.
