Former Bosnian Muslim leader Ejup Ganic, held in Britain on alleged war crime charges, was granted bail by a court in London Thursday, DPA reported.
The 64-year-old academic was arrested at Heathrow airport on March 1 on a provisional extradition warrant issued by Serbia.
He is alleged to have been involved in a 1992 attack on a Yugoslav army convoy in Sarajevo in which 42 soldiers were killed and 73 injured.
The bail was granted by the High Court pending the extradition proceedings scheduled for March 29.
