16 militants were killed and two houses of militants were destroyed in air strikes by
Pakistani security forces on Sunday in Lower Orakzai tribal area bordering with Afghanistan, according to local TV reports.
Orakzai is one of the seven tribal agencies, collectively called FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas), with hideout of
Taliban militants and Al-Qaeda fighters, Xinhua reported.
Security forces have conducted several operations against militants but insurgents has not been cleared of the areas.
