Argentine-born coach Gerardo Martino is to continue to coach Paraguay until the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, dpa reported.
Speaking from the Argentine city of Rosario, where he is currently on holiday, Martino confirmed the deal Friday to Paraguayan media.
The man who led Paraguay to a historic quarter-finals berth in the recent World Cup in South Africa, where they lost to Spain, noted however that his performance will be evaluated after the 2012 Copa America.
"We reached a four-year deal, under the current terms. That means that we will again sit down to talk after the Copa America process," Martino explained.
