Six civilians were killed and nine others injured by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan, dpa reported according to officials Sunday.
"Two men, two women and two children were killed and nine others were injured when a roadside bomb blew up a civilian vehicle in Maiwand district of southern province of Kandahar Sunday morning," Zulmai Ayobi, provincial government spokesman, said.
The wounded were taken to a provincial hospital, it said.
Separately, three children were injured by another roadside bomb Sunday in Kandahar's Arghandab district, the spokesman said.
