Local media on Tuesday reported an explosion in a flare factory in U.S. state of Tennessee, injuries were reported.
The plant, Kilgore Flares Co. in Toone, makes flares for the military, and the Hardeman County sheriff's office was quoted as saying an unknown number of people were injured in the explosion that took place around noon, Xinhua reported.
Medical helicopters were reported on the ground to airlift the injured. The authorities didn't give a reason for the explosion. The plant makes infrared decoy flares for the military.
