Russia's military chief to visit Japan
The chief of Russia's Armed Forces General Staff, Gen. Nikolai Makarov will pay a working visit to Japan on September 28-29, the Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"The program of the visit includes meetings with his Japanese counterpart Gen. Ryoichi Oriki and Japan's Defense Minister Toshimi Kitazawa," the ministry said in a statement.
The agenda of the talks will focus on Russian-Japanese military ties and security in the Asia-Pacific region, RIA Novosti reported.
On September 29, Makarov will visit the Asaka military base in Tokyo's Nerima Ward.
