Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi was admitted to a Milan hospital on Monday for treatment of an inflamed tendon in his left hand, AKI reported.
Berlusconi isn't expected to spend the night at the Humnanitas di Rozzano Institute Clinic, according to Paolo Bonaiuti, Berlusconi's spokesman who accompanied the 74-year-old premier to hospital.
The Humanitas web site lists orthopedics - which includes treating inflamed tendons, or tendonitis - among its 12 medical specialities.
