Italy's record lottery jackpot of nearly 178 million dollars (248 million dollars) was finally won Saturday after nine months and 129 draws in which nobody had been able to claim the prize, dpa reported.
The winning numbers in the lottery, which according to Italian media is the largest jackpot ever to have been won worldwide, were 4, 26, 40, 54, 55 and 67.
It was still unknown where the winning ticket had been bought, according to the news agency ANSA. The winner's names are rarely published in Italy.
