3 Rockets hit Afghan capital, no casualties

Three rockets fired from eastern part of Kabul capital of Afghanistan hit downtown city Saturday morning but caused no loss of life, Kabul police department said in a statement, Xinhua reported.

"Three rockets were fired from Bagrami district east of Kabul this morning at around 6:30 a.m. local time and struck areas in sub districts second and ninth but caused no loss of life," the statement said.

However, the statement added that the attack has caused damage to a few building and personal properties in the business district where the rocks landed.

The statement said police has initiated an investigation to the incident.

Moreover, security is already tight in the capital Kabul and other major cities across Afghanistan as the war-torn country have been experiencing a series of bombing and suicide attacks over the past couple of weeks that left over 100 people majority of them civilians dead.
