Royal bride Kate Middleton arrived at her wedding venue Westminster Abbey on Friday, revealing the first full view of her much-awaited wedding dress as thousands of onlookers cheered and waved and bells rang out, dpa reported.
The cream-coloured dress had shoulders and sleeves made of see-through lace, a v-neck and a long train. The radiant-looking bride wore her long dark hair half-up, half-down, while her veil was held in place by a simple tiara.
Minutes later the 29-year-old was to walk down the aisle on her father Michael's arm. The aisle of the 13th century abbey was covered with 100 metres of red carpet and lined by eight English maple trees and two horn beams.
Her husband-to-be Prince William had already arrived 45 minutes earlier and had spent the time chatting with some of the around 1,900 guests and alone with his best man, his brother Prince Harry, in the tiny Chapel of St Edmund.
