At least two people were killed and several more injured on Tuesday when a bomb exploded at the gate of a court in north-western Pakistan, police said.
The incident took place in Nowshehra, 40 kilometres north-east of Peshawar, the capital of the province of Kkhyber-Pakhtunkkhwa, DPA reported.
An official at the district's police control room said that one policewoman and a civilian died in the attack. Eight more people were injured.
Geo television cited witnesses saying the bomb exploded when a policewoman tried to search a burqa-clad woman at the court building's main entrance.
It was not clear whether the woman was a suicide bomber or the bomb was planted in a nearby vehicle.
