Three rapid-succession explosions were heard Thursday near the apartment building in France where an al-Qaeda-linked suspect in a string of deadly shootings has been holed up in a stand-off with police, DPA reported.
Shortly before, firefighters were seen approaching the building with three stretchers. They then came back with empty stretchers.
