More than 34 people were killed when a bus plunged into a canal in Nepal on Sunday, dpa reported qouted police as said.
The accident occurred in the Nawalparasi district, some 270 kilometres south of the capital, Kathmandu.Police said 34 bodies had been pulled out of the Gandaki canal. Four people were rescued alive.
The bus was carrying pilgrims, most of them Indian nationals.
Initial reports on the cause of the accident and the number of people missing were sketchy. Police said the bus may have been carrying over 100 passengers.
