At least 12 people were killed and around 20 injured on Friday in bomb attack near a mosque in north-western Pakistan, police said, dpa reported.
A bomb planted in Patt Bazar in Hangu city, 150 kilometres south of provisional capital Peshawar, exploded as dozens of people were coming out after Friday prayers, said Saeed Ahmad, district head of police.
"12 people have been killed and 20 injured in the attack," Ahmad said.
Nobody immediately took responsibility, but Taliban militants frequently target civilians and security forces in the region.
