Boris Berezovsky will not be buried on Monday, May 6, and a burial date has not been determined yet, Berezovski's son-in-law Egor Schuppe told RIA Novosti.
"The decision should be made by the women and the children, and therefore, it has been decided that no one will comment on anything until all issues are resolved. Regardless, nothing will be said today at least. I can tell you one thing: I'm now in France with Borya's mom. While we're here, there will be no developments," Shuppe said.
"When to return? I'll have to figure this out in the near future," he added.
Previously, it was believed that Berezovsky would be buried on May 6, the Thames Valley District Police told RIA Novosti.
"To be honest, everything is being organized, everyone is trying to do their duty as soon as possible, but everything happens as it happens. So why invent so much energy?" Shuppe said. The businessman's body is now in the morgue, he added.
"With regard to the burial place, I will not make any comments," Shuppe said, adding that Berezovsky will be buried under his own name, not the name of Platon Elenin, which the businessman took while seeking political asylum. "I think the funeral will be closed to the press, everything will be quiet," Shuppe noted.
