Russian President Vladimir Putin invited the heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to Moscow to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), RIA Novosti agency reported.
"Our common duty is to celebrate this momentous anniversary together," Putin said Oct. 10 at a meeting of the CIS heads of states.
Putin said that taking the opportunity, he invites the CIS heads to Moscow to participate in the May 2015 celebrations.
