Austrian police arrest 13 suspected IS supporters
The suspects were arrested on Nov.28 in different police operations carried out in the capital Vienna, the southern city of Graz, and Upper Austria province, Austria's state prosecutor's office said in a statement, PressTV reported.
Some 500 police officers were involved in the search and arrest operations, which followed a two-year observation of the suspects, the statement noted, adding that "terrorist propaganda material," an unspecified amount of cash, and stored computer data were detected during the search.
At least 150 Austrians have joined terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria, the Austrian Interior Ministry has said.
Some other European countries have already said a great number of their nationals are involved in the militancy in the two Middle Eastern countries.
