The incident involving Su-24 warplane looks like a planned provocation, RIA Novosti quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as saying Nov. 25.
"We have serious doubts that it was an unintentional act. It was very similar to a planned act," he said in an interview with Russian and foreign media.
Russian FM noted that his Turkish counterpart called him and offered condolences with regard to the plane's crash.
On Nov. 24, Turkish Air Force shot down a Russian SU-24 warplane in Turkey's airspace. Pilots managed to bale out, while the aircraft fell to Syria's territory.
