Algerian police on Monday arrested five businessmen, including a billionaire, over their suspected links to corruption cases, Trend reported citing Xinhua.
Yasaad Rebrab, the Algerian billionaire, was arrested for allegedly "providing false statements concerning the movement of capitals abroad, inflating invoices for equipment import," ENTV said.
Meanwhile, four members of the Kouninef family, Reda, Abdelkader, Karim and Tariq, were detained for "suspected public transactions with the government without fulfilling contractual obligations, exploiting influence of public officials to obtain illegtimate benefits," it added.
