(ForUm) - The EU-Ukraine negotiations over free trade areas may be launched before Ukraine's official accession to the WTO, Roman Shpek, the Ukraine's Mission in the EU Head, revealed Thursday in Helsinki.

It may happen on the condition that Ukraine will adopt obligatory package of the legislative acts, reports Trend.

This topic is to be addressed at the EU-Ukraine Summit launched today in Finland.

The Europe states its readiness to hold these negotiations but it needs Ukraine's signal proving that we are moving, not waiting simultaneous adoption of all necessary bills to enter the WTO, said Shpek.

Earlier, the EU repeatedly outlined the necessity to join the WTO before launch of any talks on Ukraine's accession to the free trade with the EU.
