The President of Turkmenistan is interested in increase in gas supplies to the Western Europe via Ukraine

(ForUm) - Turkmenistan considers four projects of diversified gas supply to potential consumers in addition to existing Middle Asia-Centre pipe line, Turkmenbashi Saparmurat Niyazov revealed Wednesday at a XVII Khalk Maslakhty in Ashgabad.

Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan-China is the most important and urgent priority. Its capacity is planned to be about 30 milliard cu m and launched in January 2009. Turkmen President Niyazov outlined the necessity to scale up gas supplies to the Western Europe via Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine. This pipe line will pass along Caspian Sea, reports Trend.

Khalk Maslakhty is the supreme legislative and deliberative body of Turkmenistan. It consists of 2,507 members and dominates over the Turkmen parliament.
