(RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law a bill on the ratification of the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport, the Kremlin press service said Friday.
The Convention, adopted on October 19, 2005, at the 33rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, provides a regulatory framework for the parties to take action against doping in sport. It helps to enshrine the World Anti-Doping Code in international law, creating obligations for nations to take steps in accordance with its principles, reports Trend.
