Ukraine's prime minister hopes Germany to help Ukraine to approach to EU

(ForUm) - The Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych with the German Ambassador to Ukraine Reinhard Schefers discussed preparation of concluding of new call-off agreement between Ukraine and the EU instead of Agreement on partnership and cooperation.

We count on further Germany support of euro integration aspirations of Ukraine, in particular during presidency of your country in the EU in the first half of 2007, Yanukovych noted.

In his turn the German Ambassador to Ukraine Schefers expressed a hope that bilateral arrangements on high level planned for 2007 will give an impulse for development of the Ukrainian-German cooperation, reports Trend.

In the scope of the visit, further visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine to Germany was discussed.
