( Itar-Tass ) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich has promised impeachment against President Viktor Yushchenko, if the latter does not recognize possible verdict of the Constitutional Court on the dissolution of parliament, the press service of the Party of Region Party said in a statement on Tuesday.

Yanukovich expressed confidence that the Constitutional Court will announce Yushchenko's decree as unconstitutional.

"Experts of different juridical companies consider Yushchenko's decree illegal. The decree is a sub-legislative act, and the Constitution is the basic law," he said.

He believes that if the president does not agree with the Constitutional Court's verdict, the parliament may discuss Yushchenko's impeachment.

Earlier in the day, the Constitutional Court began deliberating the presidential decree.
