CIS Executive Secretary to Bring Presents to Azerbaijan

Russia, Moscow / Тrend corr R. Aghayev / CIS Executive Committee will present 9,180 books by 289 Russian and world authors to Azerbaijani libraries in Baku within the framework of the CIS Humanitarian Area project. The books will officially be presented on 5 June during the visit of the CIS Executive Secretary, Vladimir Rushaylo , to Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Embassy to Russia reported.

The books will be delivered to the Presidential Library, Akhundov National Library, Korolenko Central Library, as well as to the Hikmat Library.

According to the Embassy, the humanitarian present will be delivered by the Azerbaijani Embassy to the Russian Federation, and accepted by the Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry. All organization issues regarding delivery have been resolved.

The purpose of the present is to inform the nations residing in the CIS countries of the works of Russian and world classics along with other authors, as well as enrich library funds. All the books were published in Russia in 2007.
