( Cihan ) - Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said that the allegations of four surrendered Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists that the United States were providing weapons for PKK have been discussed with US Ambassador to Ankara Ross Wilson and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Speaking for the press in Ankara, Gul said that the issue was first discussed with Turkish military forces and that the military had the same doubts.
Wilson was invited, said Gul, to the foreign ministry to explain the incident and Wilson said that the allegations were untrue but promised to communicate the issue to the officials in Washington.
Gul also said he spoke with Rice over the phone and that she promised to investigate into the case.
